800,000 and Beyond!

First game trailer for Crowfall showing off the 5 archetypes already implemented
in the game being the Elven Frostweaver, Human Knight and Templar,
Centaur Legionnaire and the Stoneborn Forgemaster.

Another big part of the reveal when the countdown is the long anticipated Kickstarter Campaign which is showing how much the world wants Crowfall with already finishing the $800,000 goal to produce the rest of the game yesterday February 27th. Earlier in the week people were flocking to put in money from $5 to $10,000 with the $30 option sold out.

Also from this campaign starting we saw the in-game destruction of voxels and the first signs of an alpha which is right now limited to Alpha 3 for people who pledge $100 or more, Alpha 2 for $175 or more, Alpha 1 for $500 or more, and if you pay $5,000 or more (5 more left) you get access into prealpha. Alpha testing for Crowfall will start late Summer of this year. Also with gaining alpha and pre-alpha access from pledging, if you are in a later beta group you can move up to Beta 2 if you paid $30+ (sold out), $34+ or $40+ and Beta 1 for $60+. It is currently unknown if when you get a beta spot when pledging you actually take someone else's spot in that group but probably not. There are a ton of other cool things like forum trims, invitation to launch day for Crowfall but go check them out at the Kickstarter page and pledge!

On Thursday before the original goal was reached the devs decided to add 2 Stretch goals to keep us going. The first one being new FX and female Centaurs when we donate 1 million dollars. As much as I like the centaur I also don't really like this centaur archetype. I feel it is not going to be popular, but that is my opinion. If you really want female centaurs then there is one thing for you to try and aim towards while the other is enhanced FX for the game. Currently they have Eric Hart working on both Character Models and FX for the game. Though the FX right now are great if they get 1 million they will be able to hire someone else to do the FX full time and put Eric back to work on what he does, making character models. If Eric goes back on character models it will speed up the models for archetypes and other creatures and starting work on new archetype. The second stretch goal is at 1.3 million dollars which will introduce mounts and caravans for our players and traveling. There isn't much about this one rather than they will help move your resources around faster in campaigns, make you look epic riding into battle, and expand your inventory space.

What do you think about the game after seeing the first trailer and what combat is like in Crowfall? Do you like the current stretch goals? Think they should have done different stretch goals? Any idea of what you want them add as future stretch goals while the kickstarter is going?
